We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:
Part-time Research Assistant(s) II (R7048) (A&SS) (Ref: 23001G1)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee(s) will assist the Principal Investigator in the research project “Reappearance and inheritance of Chosŏn dynasty's traditional arts and cultural heritage in contemporary times’ (Project No.: R7048). The appointee(s) will be responsible mainly for the following:
- data collection;
- reading primary and secondary sources in Korean language;
- report writing;
- providing assistance in areas related to the research project; and
- performing any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- a recognized Bachelor’s degree or above in Korean studies, history, heritage studies or related disciplines;
- relevant working experiences in conducting textual analysis studies in the field of humanities;
- a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
- good ability to read and write Korean.
Duration of Appointment
Successful candidate(s) will work no more than 17 hours per week for the period between August 2023 and February 2024. The work schedule shall be agreed between the appointee and the Principal Investigator.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
