Major Duties:
The appointee shall engage in teaching and related learning activities and developing course materials. He/she is also expected to engage in ongoing professional development and research in Music Technology, contributing to departmental initiatives and projects as needed.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree in Music Technology or a related field; with at least 4 years of relevant teaching experience at tertiary level and/or professional experience in music technology fields. Candidate should also have proficiency in music production software and technology, as well as knowledge of current industry practices and trends in music technology.
The candidate should have good interpersonal and communication skills; and high proficiency in English and in Chinese, including Putonghua. He/she should also fulfil one of the following language criteria:
(a) Mother tongue/ language is Putonghua; or
(b) Received a recognised bachelor’s degree or above of which the Medium of Instruction (MOI) was Putonghua; or
(c) At least 3 years’ work experience in Mainland China or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or
(d) Achieved at least Grade 2 Level B in the Putonghua Shuipin Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work.
Notes:
(1) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
