The University now invites application for the Research Project “Heritage Reconstruction and Popularisation: Exposition of Tiger Balm Garden with Immersive Technologies”, funded by the Aw Boon Haw Foundation:
Part-time Exhibition Assistant – Virtual Reality Centre (Ref: PTEA (VRC-850053) 2025-03-21)
Responsibilities:
- support the regular demonstrations and on-site visit arrangements for guests and visiting events from colleges and schools;
- support exhibiting in terms of exhibition board and virtual reality experience for the general public;
- support facilitating students to carry out service-learning during the exhibition;
Applicants should:
- possess a higher diploma or above, preferably in multimedia, or a related field;
- be familiar with Virtual Reality and its applications;
- have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); and
- possess basic computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, English and Chinese word processing.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. The appointee will work for selected days in a week, for example, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. The work location would mainly be on campus and Causeway Bay.
The employment is on a 6-month contract commencing in April 2025. Knowledge in art and heritage will be an advantage. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
