The HKIC is looking for a highly talented individual to fill the position of:
Officer – Trade Testing (Safety)

The applicant must possess

  1. a recognised degree in construction related disciplines;
  2. a minimum of 3 years' experience, preferably in construction, safety management, safety inspection or facility management;
  3. qualification of Registered Safety Officer (RSO) and holder of First Aid Certificate would be an advantage;
  4. conversance with renowned safety management system, and safety technologies application would be advantage;
  5. excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with various internal and external stakeholders;
  6. good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

(Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)

Duties include

  1. to support and coordinate site and workshop inspection with the aim of upgrading trade testing standards, including safety;
  2. to conduct regular inspections of Trade Testing Centre facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations;
  3. to adopt the latest technologies to improve workshop safety and work safety;
  4. to assist in designing and implementing new elements of trade skill assessment and criteria in trade testing, including safety;
  5. to collect and consolidate data and other information, and to prepare reports including inspection report, analysis of candidates’ performance, centre KPI, etc; and
  6. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
