Multimedia Designer (at the rank of Senior Technical Assistant) in the Communications and Public Affairs Office of the Registry (Ref.: 201701244) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Digital Media, Interactive Arts or related disciplines, with at least 3-years of work experience in the field of multimedia, preferably in an educational or agency environment.  Proficiency in using the full Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office is required. Adequate experience in designing creative content for interactive interfaces and on-screen broadcast is a must. Strong skills or understanding of visual branding, UX/UI design, motion graphics, creative storyboarding and videography is necessary. Knowledge of web development and analytics reporting would be an added advantage.  They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; good communication skills; a keen artistic eye for attractive typography and visual designs; a sound sense of user-friendly digital solutions; be proactive, creative and responsible; be attentive to details, a problem-solver and have the ability to complete demanding multimedia projects with a team or individually.

The appointee will be required to produce digital media products for marketing, customised primarily as solutions for the university-wide TV and online channel (U-Vision), which may involve the usage of video, web and social media. He/She will also be required to perform UX research, as well as to monitor, report and be receptive of the feedback on the products that he/she delivers.  Depending on where the applicant’s talent lies, he/she will be given the opportunity to explore more projects relating to his/her strengths and be offered the freedom to create projects that he/she is passionate about.  Shortlisted candidates are required to provide a portfolio of their past work for consideration by the selection panel. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
