Our client is a well-funded operation on a mission analysing and curating pathological variants of the local genome. They are seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist (MLT Part I) to join their cause.

About The Role

• Carry out daily laboratory tasks, including maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Extract, process and analyze genetic materials from clinical specimens
• Conduct quality control (QC), prepare libraries, and operate next-generation and third-generation sequencing systems
• Implement and execute quality control measures, maintaining documentation, and conducting internal and external audits to comply with accreditation standards.
• Contribute to the development of new protocols and evaluate emerging sequencing technologies.
• Engage in new project initiatives and ad-hoc duties as per management decision

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Medical laboratory Science or equivalent, with certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician Part I from the Hong Kong MLT Board
• Exposure in molecular diagnostic background
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• A team player, strong in communication and interpersonal skills
