Job purposes:
Lead a small team to manage different programs and work tasks including the flagship Annual Conference and Exhibition and HR Excellence Awards.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Oversee the HKIHRM’s Annual Conference and Exhibition, HR Excellence Awards, HR Service Providers directory, seminars and online advertising which include their planning, execution, registration, budgeting, promotion, sponsorship / advertising sales, production of publications etc.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Executive Council, committees, members, business partners etc. to manage their expectations and secure their support and contributions for different programs
- Ensure internal policy, process and proceduresare aligned with the Institute’s policy and practices, and within a cross teams for effective and efficient practices
- Execute ad-hoc assignments from management
Requirements:
- Degree or above in Business / Marketing / Event Management or related disciplines, with a minimum 10 to 15 years’ proven track record of professional management experience in large-scale events. Experience working in trade association is an advantage
- Strong network to identify and develop new opportunities such as potential partners, sponsors and speakers
- Solid experience in driving sales, marketing and promotion activities
- Strong business acumen and sensitivity to local / regional issues that may impact on HR management are also preferred
- Ability to build and lead a highly motivated and productive team to achieve different targets
- Candidates who have ability to cope with pressure and are customer-oriented, detail-minded, proactive and creative with multi-tasking capability to work both independently and in a team are preferred
- Knowledge in budget planning and control is a must
- Excellent language skills with proficiency in written / spoken English and Cantonese/Putonghua
