Manager (Entrepreneurship Development) (Ref. 18112603-E2)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) look after entrepreneurship funding, incubation and acceleration programmes, especially in the Greater Bay Area and other parts of the Chinese mainland;
(b) work closely with faculties and researchers to support the commercialization of research through technology venturing;
(c) assist in business and partnership development with institutions and corporates in the region;
(d) plan, develop and implement collaborative programmes with partnering institutions and corporates especially in the Greater Bay Area and other parts of the Chinese mainland; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree and preferably a higher degree in Business, Science, Engineering or related disciplines;
(b) have at least seven years’ relevant post-qualification experience, preferably with experience in innovation / technology industry in the Chinese mainland or commercializing / incubating technology startups;
(c) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese with proficiency in Putonghua;
(d) be proactive and able to work independently and under pressure;
(e) be a good team player with good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
(f) have excellent problem-solving skills and strong drive for success; and
(g) be good at multitasking.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
