Company Overview

Key Responsibilities 

Reporting to the Director of Services, the incumbent will:

  • Head and manage the Corporate Communications Section
  • Handle enquiries from the media, trade, Legislative Council, government departments and bureaux and the public. Formulate and implement media relations and publicity strategies to build a positive corporate image
  • Develop and implement consumer education programmes/activities to enhance public awareness of EAA’s work
  • Develop external stakeholder engagement
  • Plan and oversee the production of publication materials
  • Provide support to the EAA Board Secretariat
  • Any other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisors 

Requirements 

  • Recognized university degree in journalism, communications, public relations or related disciplines
  • At least 7 years’ experience in mass media, public relations, corporate communications or related fields, with 4 years at managerial level 
  • Excellent political judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese, and fluency in Putonghua
  • Well versed in the operations and work values of a public body or non-governmental organization
  • Flexible and able to work independently and efficiently under pressure, and to meet tight deadlines
  • A good team player and able to work in collaboration with others  

Terms of Appointment

Competitive remuneration package commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointee will initially be offered a 3-year contract, subject to renewal upon satisfactory performance and the service needs of the Authority.
