Manager, Communications and Public Relations (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 516718) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 - 5 years’ full-time work experience in communications, public relations or related fields. They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese) and English; outstanding organisational, communication, project management and problem-solving skills, and a high level of computer literacy. They should be able to work with people from a broad range of background internally and externally, preferably with experience in managing social media platforms; and must be able to work independently and under pressure.
The appointee will support the Faculty’s Communications and Public Relations team in planning, developing and implementing corporate communications strategy for brand promotion. He/She will plan and organise a variety of corporate and PR events, formulate story angles and develop key messages. The appointee will be responsible for content creation and management of online and offline communication collaterals, including but not limited to speeches, press releases, eDMs, presentations, videos, etc., as well as for various social media platforms. He/She will also handle media enquiries, and maintain good relations with the media and various stakeholders to achieve effective communications. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
