Roles & responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and drive key items/activities and develop platforms related to mainland affairs to strengthen liaison between Tung Wah and all Mainland stakeholders including organization of exchange tours/outgoing visits, and reception of delegates;
  • draft and prepare collaborative agreements/Memorandum of Understanding in line with the strategic plans of Tung Wah, formulate collaborative framework and carry out related administrative work;
  • communicate with Governmental departments/organizations in Mainland to foster collaborative and promotional plans; and serve as a pivotal role to oversee and consolidate the Group’s resources on mainland affairs, and support Divisions/Office in relation to exchange activities;
  • analyze and research on national policies, laws and orders as well as draft reports and speeches; and
  • supervise the daily operation and performance of the subordinates of the Mainland Affairs Unit.

 

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • A recognized degree or equivalent, preferably major in public administration, international affairs and political science;
  • Grade D or above in both English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE or equivalent;
  • at least 5 years’ post-qualification working experience, preferably in mainland affairs or public administration or related working experience;
  • high proficiency in written English and Chinese and spoken Putonghua;
  • excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • familiarity with mainland affairs will be an advantage.

Compensation & employment terms:
The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
