Legal Counsel - Statutory Organization

Client Details

Our client is a statutory organisation and they are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the amendment of policies, managing various committees, and taking detailed meeting minutes within the statutory body. This role requires a deep understanding of legal frameworks, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders.

Description

• Review and analyze existing policies to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
• Draft, revise, and implement new policies as required.
• Provide legal advice and recommendations on policy changes.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure policies are effectively communicated and enforced.
• Provide legal guidance and support to committee members.
• Prepare and review committee documentation, including agendas, minutes, and reports.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among committee members.

Profile

• Minimum of 5 years PQE, experience gained from law firm with general practice or conveyancing area
• Strong knowledge of legal principles, regulatory frameworks, and policy development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
