Our client is a US Sourcing Office, they are seeking a Leather Specialist with expertise in leather material sourcing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and developing leather for renowned fashion brands. This role requires a candidate who is having solid sourcing network, strong communication skills, and detail minded.

Description

• Identify and source reliable suppliers to ensure material quality is under company standards
• Handle price negotiation with supplier to ensure the budget and cost is under company standards and guidelines.
• Work closely with Europe's Design and Product Development team, suppliers, and factories on leather development, including handbag sampling and production.
• Review and approve leather colours for sampling and production processes.
• Oversee quality examinations of both sample and bulk production leather.
• Monitor delivery conditions and shipments.
• Provide technical guidance to address potential problem in leather development.

Profile

• Diploma or bachelor's holder in Supply chain Management or any related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in leather sourcing and developing leather with solid sourcing network of leather suppliers are desired.
• Strong background in technical knowledge of leather, handbag manufacturing and construction
• Detail-minded, and well-organised candidates are preferred
• Proficient in written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
