Description

• Work alongside existing product teams leveraging AI technologies to enhance the customer experience, drive efficiencies and build innovative automation across the entire database product line.
• Provide engineering leadership to educate existing teams how they should be using AI effectively, growing our ability to leverage AI technology across the organization.
• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Profile

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge of application, data, cloud and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Advanced hands-on skills in Python and or Java programming
• A fundamental understanding of AI, ML and LLM concepts, terminology and technology, preferably with hands on experience
• A fundamental understanding of databases and database technologies
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently. A self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, agile setting
• Have clear and effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate seamlessly across multi-disciplined teams
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Hands on experience working with database technologies
• Experience building, deploying Machine Learning models, and the ML Lifecycle
• Exposure to cloud technologies
