Responsibilities:

• Plan and evaluate laboratory work, addressing procedural and technical challenges.
• Analyze process performance monitoring and regulatory compliance.
• Manage procurement of laboratory equipment, reagents, and consumables.
• Organize sampling and analysis schedules.
• Lead and coach laboratory staff, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Report daily plant analysis and dysfunctions to the Operation Supervisor/Shift Technician.
• Develop and implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) programs, as well as Safety and Inspection Control practices.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is functioning correctly and complies with regulations.
• Oversee maintenance, calibration, and reliability of laboratory equipment.
• Validate analysis results and ensure proper documentation management.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations for laboratory staff and ensure compliance with waste and chemical management regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the plant’s Quality-Safety-Environment approach.
   

Requirements:

• Degree in analytical chemistry, microbiology, or equivalent (significant experience may be considered). 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Laboratory Management within a plant environment. 
• Knowledge of chemical analysis methods related to water and wastewater. 
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and safety practices. 
• Strong leadership, organization, and commitment to quality and safety.
