About the Role
You will be a key member of the KTSP ICT team initially working as part of the project delivery team whilst also being involved in complex design workshops to facilitate the smooth transition towards the operational commencement date of the precinct. You will be responsible for developing the architecture and design of the security solutions for the precinct whilst mitigating security risks. The role will involve pro-active/reactive monitoring, detecting and taking action to help avoid security-related incidents and protect the customer experience and data.
Once we achieve operational commencement the role will evolve and you’ll be involved in the day-to-day operations of the cyber security systems. You will work alongside the Service Delivery and Service Desk Teams, as well as the wider ICT Department to effectively support and administer the full lifecycle of the security operations, services, projects, and initiatives.
This is a unique role where you’ll get to shape the cyber security design and then continue the journey within this exciting environment working with event owners to overlay their requirements across the three venues making this world class facility a huge success globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance around Cyber Security detection and response solutions, across architecture, organisational and business units.
- Ensure regular, clear and diligent communications with all project stakeholders and within the team.
- Assist in ensuring that the infrastructure integrity is managed effectively through confirming that virus protection, access security, backups and disaster recovery are all in place.
- Provisioning of new server/virtual machines from an infrastructure perspective, patching / monitoring as required.
- Manage & improve existing security controls within the organisation.
- Monitor security events across various platforms, responding & investigating incidents / issues that arise.
- Review network access controls, including firewall rule profiles & templates.
- Assist with identifying, analysing & mitigating information risks associated with hybrid technology stacks.
- Lead & implement security projects aligned with the road map.
- Ensure that all required documentation (Weekly Updates, etc) is completed in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain the Cyber Security Work Plan, and the delivery of the Continuous Service Improvement Plan.
- Deliver training and skills transfer to team colleagues.
Requirements:
- University degree / Diploma holder in Information Technology or related disciplines
- Minimum 6 years’ working experience in IT security management or network design & administration
- Relevant certification in information security such as: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC etc.
- Knowledge of the following disciplines: project and program delivery, portfolio management, change management, infrastructure development management, new and existing vendor management, financial management
- Technical and current knowledge of information security threats, countermeasures, mitigation, and best practice
- Experience in maintaining company accreditations (ISO27001)
- Knowledge of Endpoint Protection / Anti-Virus / Anti-Malware / Anti-Ransomware / Encryption
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Demonstrable expert technical experience of administering security tools such as SIEM/IPS and auditing tools
- Demonstrable experience of securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure) either through project delivery or ongoing refinement
- Expert knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of specific tools for collecting, analysing, and presenting digital-related evidence.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical information in a way that gains understanding
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
