Office of the Chief Information Officer
The Office of the Chief Information Officer (https://www.eduhk.hk/ocio) provides quality services to support all central information systems in support of teaching, learning, research and administration and places emphasis on staff’s career/professional development. The Office is looking for quality professionals to fill the post.
The appointees will be responsible for developing, implementing and supporting central information systems to complement the student administration needs of the University; developing, implementing and supporting the ERP-based Student Information Systems as well as business and visual analytics software packages; formulating system standards, procedures and practices; serving on committees/working groups and representing the University in liaison with external parties on information systems-related issues; and negotiating with vendors on the provision of products and services.
Applicants should have a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant post-qualification working experience; proven successful project management experience for ERP-based systems, preferably gained in local tertiary institution(s); and sound knowledge of information system development management. Applicants should be conversant with PL/SQL, Java and/or Oracle DBA; have experience on the latest development platforms and methodologies such as (but not limited to) React, Flutter, Low-code/No-code, GitHub Copilot, Data Lakehouse design would be advantageous. Applicants should be proficient in both English and Chinese and have good communication and presentation skills.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The initial appointment will be on a three-year fixed-term contract [applicable to internal and external successful candidates]. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
