Currently, they are looking for a Head of IT to spearhead their technology strategy and propel their digital transformation initiatives.
About the role
Reporting to the CEO, our client is seeking a strategic and visionary Head of IT to lead their technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with experience in virtual banking, digital banks or any Fintech environment, adept at managing modern cloud ecosystems and legacy systems. You will oversee IT operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and align technology with business goals to enhance our digital-first services. The ideal candidate should have led a sizeable team and having strong connections with vendors in Hong Kong and China. You will also need to execute IT strategies for scalability, security, and innovation, supporting both current operations and future growth and stay ahead of trends in blockchain, AI/ML, and automation to drive competitive advantage.
The successful applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; Master's or MBA will be an advantage18+ years in IT leadership within banking/fintech, including roles in virtual banks or any reputable financial institutions
- Leading Change - A natural 'change agent' that can identify what is needed to drive technology success and is not afraid to implement
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong and collaborative relationships with diverse and demanding internal and external customers
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of negotiating contracts, overseeing third-party integrations, and ensuring seamless customer support
- Expertise in modern tech stacks and architectural best practices, with the ability to navigate scalability, security, and regulatory constraints in banking systems
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, communicate with stakeholders, and solve complex problems
- Good command in Chinese and English
