Fitness Centre Coordinator (at the rank of Facilities Assistant) in the Centre for Sports and Exercise (CSE) (Ref.: 522498) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have completed Form 5 or above. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to work actively and independently as well as in a team with a positive and professional manner. Holder of professional certifications in fitness training or a Higher Diploma/Associate Degree in Sports Science/Exercise Science would be advantageous.
Reporting to the Facility Manager, the appointee will oversee the usage of the fitness centres; provide general training guidance to users and conduct introductory fitness programmes and training sessions to students, staff and other clients; assist in fitness and wellness projects; and undertake other duties as assigned. The post will be primarily based at the HKU Stanley Ho Sports Centre, and support to other fitness centres under the CSE will be required. He/She is required to work on shift duties between 06:30 and 21:30. On-the-job training will be provided.
