Finance Manager (Self-financing Operations Section) (Ref. 250409004-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) support the planning, control and execution of the operations of the University's entities including Mainland China;
(b) assist with compliance and governance matters related to the University's operations;
(c) perform financial accounting, management accounting, budget management, statutory reporting and other reporting for the operations of the University;
(d) support the formulation and review of policies, procedures, internal controls, financial models for the operations of the University in particular Mainland operations;
(e) work and carry out assignments independently and in a timely manner within the required timeframes;
(f) manage, supervise, and provide ongoing training and guidance to subordinates; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree in Accounting or related disciplines, plus a professional accounting qualification or equivalent;
(b) at least five years of post-qualification administrative and supervisory experience in accounting, auditing and/or other related areas;
(c) strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
(d) ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently under pressure as a quick learner;
(e) excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills; and
(f) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being a must.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
