Among all the Master’s programmes offered by the School, the MBA Programme in Finance (FMBA) stands out as a highly selective programme designed to attract highly motivated professionals in the financial and related business sectors. This part-time programme caters to the needs of working professionals in Hong Kong, Mainland China and the region who seek leadership development. To support the strategic development, the School is looking for a high-calibre and seasoned talent to join the team of the FMBA Programme.

Reporting to the Administrative Director and/or his/her delegate, the appointee will be responsible for (a) developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies, organising marketing campaigns and admission events across various channels to enhance FMBA’s presence in Mainland China and Hong Kong markets; (b) ensuring the effective utilisation of current marketing channels, regularly reviewing their effectiveness and exploring new channels to support marketing campaigns, and generating new exposure; (c) designing and creating contents for online and offline marketing channels, such as digital platforms, media advertisements, programme brochures, promotional leaflets, as well as co-ordinating with editors and multimedia producers to develop and manage contents to ensure timely and accurate updates; (d) establishing programme branding under the brand guidelines and co-ordinating with the University and Business School’s marketing teams; (e) developing and maintaining strategic partnerships to increase brand exposure, including conduct of market research; (f) working closely with the admission team to boost recruitment and drive applications; (g) planning and organising academic and outreach events, such as high-level conferences, meetings, press conferences, and networking events; (h) responding promptly to public enquiries through phone, email and social media channels; (i) building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, managing stakeholder mapping, preparing communications to stakeholders, and responding to enquiries; and (j) performing other impromptu duties as assigned. Travelling to Mainland China and other locations for business purposes is required.

Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 8 years’ post-qualification executive experience; (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (v) excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills; (vi) a strong sense of commitment, self-motivation, and the ability to multitask and work independently in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision; and (vii) a positive work attitude to achieve the team’s objective, maintain collaborative work relationship with supervisors and team members, and act with honesty and integrity. Applicants with less but at least 5 years’ relevant post-qualification executive experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
