About the company

Our client is a well-established private bank in Hong Kong. Due to their recent expansion, they are now looking for an Executive Director for their Operations team.

About the role

Reporting to the Deputy CEO, you will lead operations dept in managing all functions of various banking operations, account openings, settlement, control policies, internal processing and enhancement projects for the bank. You will oversee the end-to-end procedures and lead operations workflow for all ranges of private banking products, including IPO, equities, bonds, derivatives, collaterals, fixed income, futures, options and structured products etc. You are required to ensure overall operation flows are complied with HKMA guidelines and banking regulations. In addition, you have to define mid-to-long term operations solutions and suggest insights to support company transformation in a value added and cost-effective manner.

The successful applicant

To qualify, the successful individual must possess:

• Degree holder or above, preferably in business related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in managing operations functions for sizable private banks with at least 8 years in managerial level.
• Excellent knowledge in leading overall operations dept with strong regulatory background is a must.
• Decisive, good analytical mind and sound project management.
• Strong people management in private banks required.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese (either Cantonese or Mandarin).
