Responsibilities for this position include the following areas:
This position is responsible for logistics management relating to regional conferences, symposia and seminars.
- Manage and coordinate event venues and preparation for ACAMS 10+ live regional conference and country seminars in various cities in Asia
- Lead and support for all pre-event coordination and arrangement, including but not limited to venue selection, floor plan, catering, equipment and facilities requirement and rundown preparation
- Monitor and control event budgets and prepare P&L reports
- Liaise with the sponsors and assist in the pre-event, onsite and post-event needs
- Provide on-site execution and handle any emergency incidents during the event
- Travel is required -- to all events in various countries in Asia, for example Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.
- Other tasks related to event operations
Requirements for this position are as follows:
- University graduates with min 5 years working experience in event operations management
- Bachelor in Marketing / Media / Communication / Event Management or related discipline
- Previous work experience with the planning and operational procedures of conference and seminar
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external parties
- Strategic thinking mind-set, innovative, dynamic and a great team player
- Mature, enthusiastic and detailed mind
- Good project management and time management
- Able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Self-motivated, creative, energetic and aggressive
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua
- Japanese or other languages speaker a plus
- Required to work overtime and irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during certain periods
- A “Do Whatever It Takes” attitude to get things done – either to meet individual or team objectives/goals
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Event Operations Manager
