We are currently seeking a seasoned professional to join our client, a UK-based university, as the Director of Business Development for the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the implementation of the new 5-year strategy for operations in Hong Kong and the APAC region.
- Ensure operational alignment with institutional objectives, emphasizing growth, sustainability, and quality.
- Overhaul existing operations to meet the demands of the new strategy, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Develop and implement robust management reporting systems to monitor KPIs and operational performance.
- Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with governmental agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders.
- Represent the institution as a key advocate, promoting its interests in Hong Kong and the APAC region.
- Devise and execute marketing campaigns to elevate the institution's visibility and reputation in the region.
- Harness social media platforms to engage prospective students, stakeholders, and partners effectively.
- Analyze digital engagement metrics to refine marketing strategies and enhance campaign performance.
- Provide dynamic leadership to the existing team and regional Ambassadors, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Mentor and develop team members, equipping them with the skills and motivation needed to achieve organizational goals.
- Establish clear performance expectations and drive accountability to meet KPIs.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for market growth in Hong Kong and across the APAC region.
- Conduct market research to remain informed of regional trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Dean/Director UAL and academic/business development teams to design offerings that cater to regional needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Extensive experience in the higher education sector in Hong Kong and the APAC region.
- Demonstrated success in marketing, social media strategy, operational transformation, and driving substantial business growth.
- Fluency in English and at least one local language (e.g., Cantonese or Mandarin) is mandatory.
- Profound understanding of educational regulations, government frameworks, and stakeholder dynamics in Hong Kong and the region.
- Successful track record in leading diverse teams, particularly during times of transformation.
- Strong history of achieving strategic objectives, managing KPIs, and implementing operational enhancements.
- Travel requirements across the APAC region.
