The HKTDC is looking for an experienced editor, with a main task of helping to re-design and then manage and edit the hktdc.com homepage and digital properties. This is an exceptional opportunity for a bilingual journalist or former journalist with experience of websites to play a key role in Council wide project as a Digital Content Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a cross-platform content strategy for the HKTDC Homepage
• Manage contents, including generating, editing and uploading contents
• Work closely with global stakeholders across different departments by synthesizing their objectives
• Work with IT Department and external agencies for various digital platforms
• Communicate with internal departments on content curation and scheduling
• Explore partnership opportunity with external partners

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, at least 5 years as an editor or senior writer/reporter in a reputable media organisation with web elements
• Experience in managing a content website
• Excellent English writing and editing skill and knowledge of Chinese
• Experience in both English and Chinese media
• Knowledge of social media
• Good communication skills and proven ability to work under tight schedules
• Experience in content writing, editing, image-editing and analytics tools will be an advantage

Remuneration and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term contract basis, renewable subject to operational needs. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
