Purpose of the Position:
As a Data Analyst, you will supporting the data cleansing, reporting, analyzing and providing business intelligence to SCMP’s B2B subscriptions teams. You will also assist with monitoring KPI's and trends to help drive operational and strategic business decisions for our student business, enterprise subscription, global partnerships & content licensing, and retail operations teams.

Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with SCMP’s B2B subscription teams to define and implement necessary requirements in order to properly report on relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Provide sales and financial metrics and insights for subscription, event and partnership business
Analyze subscription order data and provide strategic and actionable business insights to better inform business decisions
Develop and maintain BI dashboards, KPI reports, and data visualizations for cross-functional teams
Project planning, coordination and work progress monitoring with different BUs and departments
Drive salesforce implementation and database consolidation
Perform quality assurance checks and data validation; identify and resolve issues that arise including reporting discrepancies and data inaccuracies
Support documentation of analytics tools, business processes, and measurement strategies
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, etc.)
1-3 years of experience in data analysis, or a related field
Fluency in advanced Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint.
Knowledge SQL/BigQuery and PowerBI as well as other programming languages like Python / R will be a plus
Strong business analytics skills to collect and manipulate data, interpret results and turn insights into actionable and measurable strategies
Clear and concise communication skills to build solid working relationships with key stakeholders, senior leadership and BUs.
A genuine curiosity and passion of the media and digital industry landscape, keeping up with emerging trends and technologies
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
