Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall planning and execution of construction projects while maintaining site quality and progress standards.
- Monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Approve contractors' work plans and performance, ensuring all activities align with contractual obligations.
- Review and audit technical documentation submitted by consultants and contractors.
- Participate in site meetings, conduct inspections, and prepare comprehensive reports on project progress and quality assurance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for completed projects.
- Implement and uphold the Quality Management Manual (QA/QC Manual) for all projects.
- Design and deliver project management training programs catered to various skill levels within the organization.
- Conduct training courses, workshops, and seminars on project management tools and techniques.
- Assess training needs through collaboration with department heads and employee feedback.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and refine future programs based on evaluations.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to employees looking to enhance their project management skills.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve training content and methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with team members, mentoring and supporting their professional development.
- Prepare and submit detailed project reports and updates to management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of solid experience in construction management, planning, contract administration, and site coordination.
- Membership in professional bodies such as HKIE, MICE, MCIBSE, or MCIOB is preferred.
- Expertise in project administration, quality management, and site control measures.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
- Independent, proactive, results-oriented, well-organized, and detail-focused.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for an Assistant Manager role.
