Company Overview
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Coordinator in operating the Community Dog Program (CDP). Duties are various and include, but are not limited to, regular site visits to potential and current CDP locations , candidate identification, dog handling/trapping/catching & transportation, liaison with the parties involved (carers/owners/other interested parties, etc.), data collection and report preparation.
- Assist in further developing and improving the program while ensuring effective cooperation and communication both within the SPCA and with outside parties
- Assist in training staff & volunteers, as well as help to promote the Society and the CDP at public and community events.
Requirements:
- Secondary education or above with excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Good command of written or spoken Cantonese and English (Fluent in Cantonese, knowledge of Putonghua would be an advantage)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word & Excel)
- Preferably have animal handling experience and an understanding of animal welfare issues across species
- MUST have a valid driving licence (class 1 & 2), be able to operate a manual vehicle, and have relevant driving experience.
- Genuine interest in the welfare of all animals
