We are currently recruiting the following position to join the Authority.

Chief Manager, Development (District) (Ref: R3444)
You will be responsible for:
 
  • developing and implementing fundraising strategy for raising donations and sponsorships from trusts, foundations, individual donors and corporations for WKCD district;
  • setting annual fundraising targets in line with targeted activities in the corporate and business plan; ensuring delivery on these targets by devising different strategies;
  • identifying and initiating introductions to potential high-net-worth sponsors and donors in the region, cultivating and building mutually beneficial collaborating relationships and proposing the appropriate approach and packages for each;
  • maintaining close liaison with the artistic fundraising teams and relevant departments of WKCDA, and developing and implementing district-wide work plans for cost-effective fundraising programmes that match with the strategic directions of WKCDA and synergise the fundraising efforts with the artistic fundraising teams;
  • supporting Director, Development and CEO's Office (DDC) and following up on the negotiation with key sponsorships and donations, maintaining and developing existing relationships with stakeholders, funders and donors, as well as seeking and cultivating new supporters;
  • constantly reviewing the adequacy of the central database for the purpose of enhancing WKCDA’s fundraising efforts, analyzing district-wide membership data and generating reports for the overall fundraising strategy of WKCDA;
  • assisting DDC to oversee the strategies and plans of the artistic fundraising teams to ensure their fundraising efforts are aligned with WKCDA’s overall fundraising strategies, and implemented in accordance with the fundraising policy and guidelines of WKCDA; and
  • performing any other duties from time to time as assigned by the DDC.
 
You should:
 
  • possess a recognized university degree with a reputable institution;
  • have at least 10 years of relevant working experience preferably at a large-scale organization, with 5 years of managerial experience;
  • have proven experience in relationship selling and management, interacting with a wide range of high-net worth clients, highly desirable, experience of capital and revenue fundraising and major donor skills, ideally with experience of securing large-scale gifts
  • have strong networks in Hong Kong, the Mainland and overseas pertinent to fundraising and sponsorship and with strong local knowledge;
  • possess strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work with diverse constituencies such as prospective benefactors, donors, Board members, Senior Management, public stakeholders and government bodies;
  • have outstanding presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills;
  • have knowledge of the art and culture arena will be an asset but not a pre-requisite; and
  • possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese/Putonghua strongly preferred.
