Founded in 2010, BEAM Society Limited (BSL) is now a public body running a voluntary green building labelling scheme which is widely used in Hong Kong, and is one of the founders of the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC). Responsibilities
1. To oversee the operation of the Project Management & Technical Support Department tasked to management and facilitate the BEAM Plus assessment of projects;
2. To provide technical support and co-ordination to the committees, expert panels and parties involved in BEAM Plus assessment processes;
3. To manage and supervise project officers and consultants on the conduct of BEAM Plus project assessment works;
4. To monitor the progress and scheduling of project submission for BEAM Plus assessment;
5. To provide technical advice and support to staff on technical and procedural matters relating to BEAM Plus assessment services;
6. To check and assure the consistency, accuracy and quality of assessment results and reports to customers;
7. To maintain and develop an effective project management and operation system on the conduct of BEAM Plus assessment services;
8. To support the development and operation of IT-enabled assessment services; To support continuous improvement and development of BEAM Plus Tools;
9. To handle customers’ and stakeholders’ enquiries, feedback and complaints;
10. To represent BSL to outside parties to promote green building and the interest of BSL;
11. To attend, prepare and/or conduct internal and external meetings / training / workshop etc.;
12. To prepare technical material for training / workshop / seminar etc.;
13. To conduct or to offer assistance on the conduct of research, studies, etc. relating to the application and development of BEAM Plus Tools; and
14. Any other duties to be assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications
1. Degree holder in Architecture / Building / Engineering / Construction / Environmental / Planning / Surveying or related disciplines;
2. Professional membership in Architectural / Engineering / Construction / Environmental / Planning / Surveying;
3. Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience, in which at least 5 years of experience at managerial position;
4. Green assessment tools or quality assurance related work experience is preferred;
5. Knowledge and experience in IT solution development is preferred;
6. Strong work ethics and team orientation, and attentive to details
7. Ability to handle multi-task and work under pressure with tight deadlines;
8. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
