Founded in 1908, Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 3328) is one of the oldest banks in China, and also acted as one of the country’s banknote-issuing institutions. Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day settlement and corporation action operation, including but not limited to Hong Kong equities and fixed income securities, global stocks and bonds, China bonds via bond connect, Pearl bond and Yulan bond
• Liaise with sub-custodians, counterparties, internal departments to solve issues arisen from daily custody operation and to ensure all trade settlement and corporation action processes to be completed in a timely manner
• Establish operation procedure and guidelines for securities custody operation and ensure control areas are properly carried out among the team
• Participate on systems setup and enhancement project planning, deliver user requirement, review functional specifications and determine resources to perform UAT
• Develop system testing criteria and test plans, monitor project status
• Collaborate with system vendor and internal departments to follow up project status and progress
• Keep eyes on relevant market changes, conduct analysis on system enhancement needs and apply measures to cope with the changes when necessary
• Perform ad-hoc project and assignment when required

Requirements:

• Degree holder or above with major in Finance, Economics, Business or Banking related discipline or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5
• Preferably minimum 5 years’ experience in global custody and banking operation
• Familiar with custodian business with good knowledge and operating experience in various settlement systems operations, including operations in SWIFT, CMU, CCASS, Euroclear/Clearstream etc.
• In-depth knowledge on securities market products and familiar with global custody operation
• Experience in leading a team to perform trade settlement and corporate action event cycles
• Able to resolve settlement issues and conscious of operation risk
• Detail oriented, independent thinking and demonstrate problem solving skill
• Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WPS etc.), VBA Macro skill is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in Cantonese and English, Mandarin is preferred.

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Custody Settlement and Operations Manager
