Position Overview:

Australasia Sports Ltd has an exciting opportunities for passionate and energetic athletics / basketball and multisport coaches to work within their coaching team and develop it’s athletics / basketball and foundation sports programme with children at various schools, clubs, private residences and athletic track venues throughout Hong Kong. Applicant must be enthusiastic well presented knowledgeable and be great at connecting and engaging with students.

Type: Immediate Start.

Location: Various HK Sports Clubs, schools and residences.
Travel between different locations may be required.

Preferred Sporting background: Competitive Athlete, fitness. PT, Multisport.

Remuneration: Based on key qualities, experience and qualifications.
Attractive fixed monthly retainer plus competitive commission based hourly wage.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver and build our athletics, basketball, and foundation programme with the goal of creating a fun, inclusive and stimulating learning environment for players of all ages and stages. Relevant training and guidance will be provided.
• Deliver the lesson plans and weekly term time training programme, holiday camps.
• Build quality coaching relationships with players, the venue management, players’ parents, as well as the coaching team.
• Help develop and improve the coaching programme and enact coaching practices that maximise player retention.
• Timely administrative duties.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years coaching experience
• Multi sport, athletics, basketball background.
• Sports qualification / certified coach, PE, sports teacher / coaching assistant /sports coach background preferred.
• Current Hong Kong Sexual Conviction Record Check (or your country’s equivalent) will be required.
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Attributes:

• Ability to work with individuals from grass roots level to performance players.
• Great communication skills able to communicate effectively with players and his/her team of coaches and management.
• Be able to liaise independently with clients regarding lessons, camps, social tennis, etc. and build relationships that facilitate the acquisition and retention of clients.
• Is professional, has high personal standards and works with integrity.
• Demonstrates initiative and commitment to improving the Club, its programmes and AS.  
• A former competitive athlete, sportsperson.
• Bilingual - Fluent in English, able to coach in Chinese / Cantonese.
