- Job title: We are looking for ASSISTANT PURCHASING MANAGER – with details as follows :
THE JOB :
- Report to: Senior Purchasing Manager
- Vendor Management: Ensure a high-quality and efficient vendor base, maintain an approved vendor list, and strengthen supplier management and performance in terms of cost, delivery, quality, and service.
- Cost Saving Initiatives: Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous cost reduction and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best value for the organization.
- Local Sourcing Exploration: Explore local sourcing options for the Vietnam factory.
- Industry Compliance: Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory requirements related to procurement and sourcing.
- Educational Background: Degree holder with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Sourcing Exposure: Experience in global and PRC local sourcing.
- Standards Compliance: Familiarity with RoHS & WEEE standards and requirements.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of the SAP system is essential.
- Personal Attributes: Dynamic, energetic, well-organized, and able to cope with a fast-changing environment.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to factories and suppliers in China and Vietnam.
