Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Editorial Director in supervising the operation of editorial and content development for all products, print and online, for SCMP’s Specialist Publications
• Lead editorial team to execute online and offline content strategies for SCMP’s luxury flagship Style magazine as well as SCMP special reports and bespoke publishing projects
• Manage vendor and community relationships, in particular with the luxury industry, and attending events as the face of the company
• Manage budgets and staff resources
• Review existing products and strategies on a frequent basis and execute enhancements when appropriate
• Lead team effectively with strong mentorship and extensive network
• Execute quality leadership with comprehensive knowledge of editorial policies, publication guidelines and creativity
• Work closely with sales team to achieve profit objectives of the company
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Has at least 10 years’ experience in the publishing industry, with experience managing small teams
• Self-starter with initiative and solutions-oriented
• Creative, conscientious, outgoing, and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Tech-savvy with experience working with SEO and meeting online objectives
• Proven ability to balance editorial quality with commercial goals, and come up with creative business solutions
• Strong familiarity with all aspects of the luxury industry
• Excellent communication skills with near-native English language proficiency. Chinese language skills an advantage.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in language, journalism or related disciplines 

Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
