The PR and Media Team of the Public Affairs Office promotes the image of HKUST and keeps the public abreast of the latest developments of the University and the achievements of its faculty members and students by proactively communicating with the media and the wider community through various channels.
The appointee will provide professional and logistic support to the PR and Media Team. Duties include planning and execution of publicity strategies; preparing press collaterals; organizing media events and interviews; liaison with the media; handling media enquiries; media monitoring; and undertaking any other PR and media projects.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; at least 3 years of relevant work experience in media and/or public relations; a strong command of spoken and written English and Chinese; strong media network; good media sense; and proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word and Powerpoint. The appointee should be proactive, attentive to details, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Working outside normal office hours will be required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
