KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP OFFICE
Assistant Manager (Temporary Appointment) (Ref. 250416011)
[Appointment period: six months]
Duties
The appointee will work under the Branding and Marketing Division of the Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship Office (KTEO) and be required to:
(a) organise and manage marketing events, including conferences, seminars, exhibitions, networking sessions, and industry showcases;
(b) implement social media strategies through content creation, posting, advertisement boosting and social community monitoring for all KTEO’s social media platforms, including Wechat, REDNote, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedln and YouTube channels;
(c) plan, manage and create promotional and publicity materials to enhance awareness of the University's entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer initiatives, including developing content for websites, social media, and other marketing channels;
(d) engage with internal and external stakeholders, such as startups, students, academics and industry members, to promote knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship development; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship or his/her delegates.
Working on irregular hours including weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, and occasional travel outside Hong Kong may be required.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree in a related discipline, with at least five years’ relevant post-qualification working experience;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(c) be a good team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and project management skills;
(d) be highly motivated and willing to work under tight schedules with positive working attitude;
(e) have experience in managing overseas exhibitions and events; and
(f) have computer literacy, with knowledge of multimedia software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva being an advantage.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
