Assistant Manager (Student Affairs) (at the rank of Executive Officer)

Assistant Manager (Student Affairs) (at the rank of Executive Officer) LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 531820) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a recognized university degree and have at least five years of relevant work experience in the education or social services sectors, preferably in student affairs, programme and event management, or communications. They should be mature, persuasive, personable, and passionate about working with university students and supporting their development.

Strong communication skills are essential, along with an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. In addition, applicants should have sound knowledge of event management and demonstrate the ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in student engagement, either as a staff member or a student leader, would be an advantage.

The appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Design and implement student engagement strategies in collaboration with internal departments and external partners, aligned with the Faculty’s strategic priorities.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of student-focused activities, including events, workshops, and developmental programmes for undergraduate students.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with students across various platforms to ensure timely dissemination of information and promotion of initiatives.
  • Provide advisory support to students on available resources, opportunities, and services within the Faculty and the broader University community.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive student environment, contributing to student well-being, sense of belonging, and personal growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives, and prepare reports and proposals to support continuous improvement.
  • Supervise and guide student helpers or interns involved in related programmes and activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Faculty’s mission, values, and operational goals.
