Assistant Computer Officer (Ref. 250000MP) (Closing date: April 22, 2025)

The Information Technology Services Centre is seeking an information security professional to join the Information Security Section. The role involves developing, implementing, operating, and supporting University-wide information security programs.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) participating in the development and implementation of information security systems; (b) conducting daily monitoring and operations of security systems; (c) handling information security incidents; (d) providing support and responding to security inquiries; (e) preparing guidelines, procedures, and policies related to information security; (f) promoting information security awareness across campus; and (g) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Information Engineering, Computer Science/Studies or equivalent disciplines; (ii) knowledge of security tools such as SIEM, web and vulnerability scanning, 2FA, etc.; (iii) knowledge of network monitoring tools and traffic analysis; and (iv) good communication and interpersonal skills. Having relevant experience in information security services and certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM or equivalents will be advantageous. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
