The Assistant/ Accountant role is an essential position in our Accounting & Finance team, dedicated to supporting the fast-paced financial operations in the FMCG industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the smooth running of the company's finance department.

The hiring company is a large organization in the FMCG sector. They have a significant presence in Asia, specifically in Hong Kong, and are renowned for their high-quality consumer goods.

Description

• Carry out daily accounting operations such as recording vouchers, entering receipts, processing payments, and verifying the accuracy of the relevant supporting documents
• Handle full sets of accounts and month-end closing.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations for bank accounts as well as other accounts listed on the balance sheet.
• Prepare financial reports which encompass financial statements, annual budgets and forecasts, and account analyses for management's review and assessment.
• Make sure that all records are properly filed in a timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain and Sales departments in dealing with daily accounting activities.
• Provide assistance during the year-end audits and undertake other miscellaneous general office administrative tasks as necessary.
• Take on and manage the assigned ad hoc tasks.

Profile

• Hold a High Diploma or higher qualification in accounting - related fields
• Accouting qulification is a must.
• Have 3 - 5 years or more of relevant work experience and be proficient in handling a full set of accounts.
• Having accounting experience within the FMCG (Fast - Moving Consumer Goods), HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering), or Trading sectors is an added advantage.
• Be self - motivated, detail - oriented, possess a strong sense of responsibility, and show a willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills, a good team player with positive attitude
• Proficiency in accounting software is a plus, SAP, Oracle and others
