Nancy Suen Sze-hang, a student at Hang Seng Management College, hopes to widen her horizons through the Shadow a CEO Programme.
"As a first-year student, I am in no rush to find a job yet. The shadow programme brought me to the forum. I have looked up similar programmes in India and I think it is a valuable opportunity to be able to learn from high-fliers in the business sector," she said.
If she can enter the programme, Suen hopes to make a start on learning some of the skills needed to lead an organisation. "I am interested in seeing how a CEO inspires people around them, and the process they go through to come up with important decisions," she said.
Suen, who is majoring in translation with business, plans to embark on a career in marketing, so is keen to learn about business.
"I want to learn from the best. My parents have friends who are successful businessmen, and I try to learn from them whenever I get a chance. The experience to be with a CEO for a few days will be the experience of a lifetime," she said.
After her interview, she said she thought that her presentation skills had impressed the panel. "I am a strong presenter. I enjoy public speaking and I have been the emcee at many school functions. I think I am a proactive person and I am willing to learn," she said.
