I work as an accountant for a large auditing firm. I have a very good relationship with my boss, for whom I have worked for five years, but he is about to leave the company. He has a past record of bringing trusted staff with him from previous jobs and I am quietly hoping he does the same in my case.

I am wondering if I should wait for him to initiate contact or would it be alright for me to broach the subject myself?
