The HKIB is pleased to present our annual banking conference, which focuses on some of the most pressing issues facing the Hong Kong and regional banking industry. The conference is now in its sixth year and firmly established as one of the city's premiere banking events.
Under the theme "Finding the New Winning Formula", the conference is specifically tailored around the local banking operating environment to address the sector's specific issues from both macro and micro perspectives.
At the event, which is aimed at senior and mid-tier management executives, participants will hear from keynote speakers and an impressive line-up of experts who will cover a range of timely topics. Importantly, the event strives to offer meaningful insights on trends and developments across the scope of the banking industry, and issues affecting the wider community.
While the industry focuses on the search for winning formulas, we are sure that delegates will benefit from discovering more about the industry's ongoing commitment to improving standards, helping customers, and promoting economic growth and stability. Also, in an era of increasing regulation and operational complexity, the conference will provide an excellent opportunity to advance dialogue and understanding between bankers, regulators and industry experts.
As in previous years, the HKIB welcomes the support from Hong Kong's banking industry, our colleagues from the mainland and Macau, and from around the region. This year, we are pleased to welcome more than 50 delegates from leading mainland banks, institutions and financial organisations.
We are particularly pleased to welcome Financial Secretary John Tsang Chun-wah as our guest and keynote speaker. Other highlights will include more than 30 banking executives who will provide comprehensive insights on their areas of expertise. Participants can also look forward to lively panel discussions, including a panel of CEOs from prominent banks who will discuss "The Way Forward for the Hong Kong Banking Industry".
