HONG KONG – In his new role, Micheal McCollough will look after the development of Akamai’s channels strategy, as well as managing, building and developing relationships with its largest and most strategic partners throughout the region. Prior to Akamai, McCollough held senior leadership positions at Dell Services and Schlumberger, where he has worked in four continents, covering various markets.
Meanwhile, Steven Yang has been tasked with spearheading Akamai’s growth in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea. An IT veteran with more than 20 years of experience in operations and driving go-to-market strategies, Yang brings his knowledge of the enterprise technology industry and an understanding of business etiquettes across Asia-Pacific and Japan, given his fluency in English, Japanese, Mandarin, Taiwanese and Cantonese.
“Channels and alliances are an integral part of our strategy in order to achieve our goals for growth in the region,” said Sanjay Singh, senior vice-president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan at Akamai. “Likewise, these markets in North Asia are critical to our success, and with McCollough and Yang, we are confident that we will continue to accelerate our momentum in Asia-Pacific.”
