I moved to Hong Kong last year after my husband got a secondment for his job. After trying hard, and failing, to get a job in my own field, advertising – I was an account manager in my own country for 10 years – I accepted another one in public relations by way of compromise.

The job is certainly not a bad one but I would really like to get back into advertising. I suspect the fact I don’t speak Chinese might be impeding me.

Do you think there are any openings in advertising here for people in my position? If not, can you recommend any other related field I might fit into?
