Offering an attractive benefits scheme and bright career prospects, Courtyard by Marriott is seeking staff in a range of roles.
Among the positions are representatives and supervisors to provide call centre services, such as answering and transferring phone calls, and handling guest inquiries. Receptionists and supervisors are also sought to provide guest services at the front desk.
"Our philosophy is, `if we take good care of our staff, our staff will take good care of our customers and business will return'," explains the hotel's human resources manager Leona Wong.
Part of Marriott International, the hotel which has just celebrated its third anniversary, boasts a workforce with an average age of 33 and welcomes new members who are enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive.
"We provide every new staff member a two-day orientation upon arrival. They learn about the philosophy, culture, core values and the background of Marriott International and its brands," Wong says.
The 245-room hotel in Wan Chai offers a five-day work week, duty meals, medical benefits, life insurance, room discount programme for associates, food and beverage discount, uniform and laundry, among other benefits.
"To encourage associates' development, we provide opportunities for them to move on to the next level. We also encourage advancement in any Marriott properties [in] Hong Kong, as well as other countries such as China and in Southeast Asia," Wong says.
