Located near the heart of a bustling commercial and shopping district, Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay has more than 20 vacancies in areas such as food and beverage, engineering and front office.
"We always see team members as one of the key elements that drives success," says general manager Anna Stackler. "Having reviewed our business and operations since the hotel opened three months ago, we are now carrying out a recruitment drive to meet increasing needs."
Ideally, candidates should have work experience in the hospitality industry and good language skills. Knowledge of conversational Putonghua is a definite advantage.
The hotel focuses more on finding candidates with the right personality than on simply assessing technical skills and relevant experience. Prospective recruits should therefore be open-minded, team-focused, and show they have a passion to do well.
"We are looking for people capable of fitting in with our leadership competencies which include being action-oriented and savvy. As an international upscale business hotel, we offer team members a career, not a job," Stackler says.
"We help them develop abilities in their current role to equip them for future challenges, and offer career opportunities around the world. This is the commitment our management has made." Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay has 263 guest rooms and suites.
It is managed by InterContinental Hotels Group.
