Sales and service support
Ricoh Hong Kong
After 48 years serving the Hong Kong market, office and document solutions provider Ricoh is still doing brisk business and planning to expand. In response to its business needs, the company is busy hiring new staff to add to its almost 1,000 work force, including a Macau branch recently set up in response to the enclave's phenomenal development.
"We have about 100 additional openings this year, with the majority of positions in sales and service support," says Irene Lee, Ricoh Hong Kong's director for human resources and administration. "We are looking for consumer-centric, innovative and positive individuals, with strategic sales and solid customer relationship management experience."
Working on major accounts, the job can include sales pitches to top executives, so good presentation, communication, negotiation and consulting skills are essential, as well as good spoken English. Those selling to small- and medium-size enterprises should be able to speak Cantonese well. Sales support staff should have the relevant technical and engineering qualifications.
"We are exploring opportunities in mainland China, so Putonghua will be added-value for sales in the next few years," Lee says.
Ricoh supports staff through coaching, training and learning opportunities, plus work-life coaching for employees grappling with family and social issues.
