Those who make it all the way through the application process for the latest Classified Post Shadow a CEO Programme will get to choose one of three senior executives to work with, based on their career aspirations.
The twice-yearly programme offers the opportunity to spend three days seeing the business world through the eyes of someone who has made it to the top, with successful “shadows” doing things like joining company meetings, going for site visits and much more.
The programme invites applications from students and recent graduates, who submit their CVs online together with a short motivational essay. Shortlisted candidates are invited to be individually interviewed at the forum by a team of consultants from recruitment firm Robert Walters.
The final interview stage will see participating companies each interview six candidates, of which up to three will be selected by each one. The programme will take place in December 2016 and January 2017.
You can find out more details of the three executives and what they have planned for their shadows over the next two pages.
After the previous programme, Jacqueline Crawford, a business management graduate, said of her experience shadowing Benjamin Vuchot, region president, Asia north at DFS Group: “It taught me so much about the level of diligence and resilience that it takes to succeed.”
For Vincent Tse, who is studying business management and engineering, his time with Henry Cheung, CEO of Thales Transport & Security (HK), opened his eyes to the challenges that must be overcome at the top. “It provided insight into the balancing act required to satisfy everyone in the company.”
