Greenpeace East Asia, the world’s largest and most effective environmental campaigning organization, is looking for a talented and technically skilled web developer to join our growing digital savvy team in Hong Kong!

The role will include the maintenance of existing website content as well as the creation of new platforms and websites using Greenpeace’s content management system. The ideal candidate will be able to display their knowledge and skills in HTML, JavaScript and CSS in addition to PHP and experience with WordPress. This is a great role for someone with a passion for the environment and interested in cutting edge digital campaigning!

Responsibilities:

• Plugin development and maintenance
• Construction and maintenance of websites
• Hand coding valid XHTML & CSS
• Liaise with other departments within the organization to determine and implement their requirements
• Using internal systems to deliver content in a variety of forms to our customers
• WordPress plugin and theme development using PHP and SQL
• Website construction using hand crafted HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Providing technical advice and solutions to internal colleagues

Requirements:

• Any frontend framework (react.js, angular.js, etc.)
• Working experience of server-side programming (PHP, MySQL, etc.).
• Proficiency in HTML/HTML5, CSS3, bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery
• Knowledge of responsive web design, website optimization, cross-browser compatibility, A/B testing tools preferred

• Enjoys working with staff in a collaborative manner, including participating in project teams to offer advice and execute plans on how to use the Greenpeace website and new media tools to help achieve organizational and campaign objectives
