The Web Marketing and Services Department is responsible for day to day execution, project management, design & development, analytics, editorial and operations of the HKJC.com and affiliated event sites. As part of the Corporate Business Planning and Programme Management, the Web Marketing and Services department, in addition to being an operational business unit, plays a critical role at web innovation and strategy formulation, aligning and binding multiple internal and external stakeholders into a long term Club wide consistent web perspective.

The Job
You will: 

• work collaboratively with teammates during the phases of requirement, design and development to      ensure quality of deliverables and service
• design, develop and maintain large-scale high traffic websites and front-end applications
• complywith establishedstandards and processes in delivering deliverables
• identify and escalate any critical issues during the development cycle in a timely fashion
• provide support during system assurance test and user acceptance test
• provide recommendation on standards and guidelines for web development
• provide input on feasibility of new web product/service ideas from a site architecting perspective

About You
You should have: 

• a university degree
• three to six years' relevant experience, preferably gained in a sizable organization
• hands on development experience  in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML for interactive, cross-browser compatible  applications
• hands on development experience in responsive design websites
• knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (e.g. JSON, XML)
• proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g. Git, SVN)
• good understanding of web analytics, SEO, iPhone, Android, social network and video streaming
• good understanding in OpenText TeamSite, LiveSite, IDOL or other content management system is a definite advantage
• good understanding in WordPress, Magento is a definite advantage
